** Lian Li is back **

Nice! ... 6 months ago~ I put a lot of time into deciding what case I was going to get ...
was a pretty hard decision -
ended up going with the lian li pc-7fnwb ... really happy with the case;
sleek/light/not too loud (am used to using quite parts)/perfect size IMO ...

although Im still a bit torn I kind of wish I went with a pc-9fn or the pc-8fib
basically its the difference between 2 front fans for less graphics card space ...

Nice to see Lian Li back (I still love my PC7, now housing a spare rig) but I can't see how the majority of these cases represent a decent buy, pound for pound, versus. offerings from CoolerMaster, Corsair, or similar.

Hence the reason why OcUK stopped stocking them. Guessing this is the influence of caseking?

Having said that the Q08B is tempting for my new home microserver. :D

Pretty sure OcUK stopped stocking because they were/are extremely expensive and sold poorly as a result. My V354 is not without its problems but flimsiness and tackiness are not among them.

Yeah would be interesting to know why they've bought them back. I do think most of the cases look very nice but are a bit expensive.

Well the reason I have bought them back is that the old owner of OcUK had a preference to ensure their were no zero selling lines in stock (zero selling = last 28 days) This was why they were removed. Lian Li cases are quite specialised and the sales were hit-n-miss across the range.

Anyway the new owners are aware of the Lian Li run rates tend to be low and kind of erratic and as a result have no problem with stock run rate on products like this being slow with the products trickleing out. :)

I love the looks of PC-X2000F. The best looking case of all time. Its smaller version PC-X500FX will be my case of choice, when I renew my hardware next time :).

I used a Lian Li case for a machine I built for someone a couple years ago and I was just amazed how feather light weight it was yet still felt solidly built with an overall quality feel to the fit and finish. A great brand to stock :)

Bugger it, lets do a massive deal for the re-launch

I have a Lian Li case (PC-50R) and when I got it (just over 2 years ago now) it was by far the best mid tower case on the market but in the space of two years things have moved on rapidly. Corsair have taken the market by storm and are setting the standards, Bitfenix, Fractal Design and Silverstone are producing great cases.

Take this for example (LINK), two years ago that would have been acceptable but by today's standards that's a mess. Lian Li really do need to get the basics right i.e better functionality and worry less about creating wacky designs.

Cable management is something they do lack badly. My A70F is a full tower version of the PC8FIR. Cable management isnt great, but i certainly cant fault the quality of fit and finish.

I dont know ... I spent a lot of time investigating what case would be my next case (that I plan on having for awhile) ... and I came down to 3 cases the corsair 650d (which a lot of people use here) ... and then 2 lian li ones 7fnwb and 8fib/or 9fn (similar in style).

I like the case ... for those that want a more compact case (although not too small like a antec p150) but still enough room to do what you need too. And be very light/space friendly and sleek looking.

I have the PC-7A case and the quality is impressive, still looking good after 5 years.
Lian-Li certainly ain't metal bashers.
Mind you the aluminium finish don't seem to be 'de rigueur' :(
