As stated in the title I have a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Razer Edition and am looking for a vertical GPU mount that will allow me to have fans at the bottom. If it helps the fans that I currently have are the Coolermaster MF120 Halos. Also if you are planning on linked me to a shop then I live in the UK!
Help greatly appreciated!
:)

@Saul Farrell - from personal experience, I can say that the CoolerMaster one doesn't, so hopefully save you a wasted try - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cool...ertical-gpu-holder-riser-cable-ca-36l-cm.html
Thanks I was about to get that one!

EDIT: Look at the post below containing this YouTube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95hKUQ0VvE0

My fans are the same depth as those ones so it should work right?

Thanks but that does look extremely tight!

Only the pc-011 XL will allow fans + vertical mount. I use a Vertical mount in my pc-011 build. looks great. But more on the later.
Ah okay I found a video on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95hKUQ0VvE0
and this man uses the coolermaster one with some nocturna fans that are 25mm deep, same as my MF120 Halo's. So I think this should work, maybe?

I haven't tried my Coolermaster mount for a while. I certainly remember it not working with my 120mm Noctuas. YMMV, but I plan on going for the Phanteks vertical mount instead.
Hmm I think it should work as if you look at the video there is a fair bit of distance between the bottom fans and the bottom of the vertical gpu mount...

It did! No clearance issues whatsoever
YES I can finally buy a vertical gpu mount! I've been looking for one for absolutely ages. Weird thing though, nowhere seems to have it in stock except the coolermaster eu store, even there they don't have the kit itself in stock, you have to buy the metal bracket and the riser card separately. Can I ask is the coolermaster one this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Mas...ocphy=9046628&hvtargid=pla-381000584578&psc=1

EDIT: Just came in stock right now - Also are the next gen GPUs going to require PCIe 4? Very important question...

Yep, that's the one. Don't know what's going on with the price though.

I'd be surprised if PCIe 4 was a requirement as it would mean both AMD and Nvidia drastically reducing their number of potential buyers.
I believe the price hike is due to the fact that this is now classed as a legacy product. Coolmaster have stopped making it and have made a V2 version (I don't think it works though...)

I have just tried the Phanteks one, it would fit and allow fans underneath, but my next problem was that moving the GPU mount up like that meant my GPU would hit my CPU heatsink.

Got an EVGA GTX1080Ti FTW3, which is fairly chunky and Noctua NH-U9S CPU cooler. I expect there would be no problems with the stock Ryzen heatsink or a waterblock.
Hmmm interesting. I currently have an NZXT Kraken X73 but if that fails then I have a backup Nocturna NH-U14S.

And here is the Coolermaster one fitted. There's an absolute gnat's hair between the backplate of the GPU and my RAM, but as you can see it sits lower than the Phanteks one because the GPU doesn't hit the CPU heatsink.

Personally I would be inclined to go for the Pankteks one if you have a small CPU heatsink or waterblock - the GPU sits slightly further towards the glass side panel with the Phankets mount and you get more space underneath it for fans and a radiator.
Yeah after looking in depth at the coolermaster photos it appears the V2 is a similar size to the V1 and will work, with the obvious improvements. I have just sent coolermaster a message asking if the riser cable in their v2 mount is replaceable with other third party ones (PCIe 4.0 for next gen of GPUs) So it looks like I'll get the V2 and then see if it works. I'll report back in a bit - I'm going away so don't expect a reply for around 10 days

I see no reason why it won't be, although you may not actually be able to crew a third party one into the underside of the vertical mount - but you could have it just slotted onto the GPU PCI-E connector and held on without any screws. I expect CM may say third party ones aren't compatible, on the basis they may not match up with the screwholes on the underneath of the vertical mount.
Fair point. I'll see what they say and order one. I'll let you all know in a week or so if it works!

Well unfortunately they've gone out of stock everywhere so I'll have to wait a while. I'll update this post when I manage to get my hands on one!

The new one does look much better. Sounds like a plan!

I was going to send it to you so you could try it, bearing in mind you said you couldn't get hold of one as they are out of stock.

I'm happy to send it to you and if it works for you, you keep hold of it and perhaps make a charity donation to a cancer hospice or air ambulance.

Thats so generous of you! I already think it's going to fit so I'll donate £40 to Cancer Research UK. Are you sure you don't want anything for it? Also how much do you want me to pay for postage?

What you want to donate, I will leave upto you - £40 seems a lot. Why don't you wait until you've got it, make sure it suits your setup?

I don't have any need of it, I'm happy with the Phanteks one and it fits my install a bit better. Just wanted to help a fellow OCUK'er out, I'm a believer in karma and all that! I'll cover the postage, don't be silly.

Trust me your details, I will post it ASAP.
Okay my address is
NOT AVAILABLE

Are you really sure you don't want me to pay for postage as I'll happily pay. Also please tell me when you've read this as I'll delete it.

Hi Guys, i have been following this thread as I'm planning a build that is similar to what you have done. I have managed to get hold of an original Cooler Master V1 bracket. but I am not 100% what riser cable to get, is it worth forking out for a gen4 cable. and also, what length of cable is actually needed. I have spoken to some people who reckon 20cm is too long. Another potential issue is finding a cable where the mounting holes line up correctly with the bracket, but I suppose this issue could be easily solved with a drill..
I have found a universal 10cm 90 degree cable that supports 64gb/s which should not have an issue with gen4 speeds, but I want to know if 10cm is too short.

Sorry for all the waffle...
I'm not sure about the lengths but a gen 3 works just fine. I have the same coolermaster mount as you and am using the generic riser cable that comes with it with my 3080 and there are no bottlenecks from what I can see when I've ran various benchmarks. The only thing with the V1 mount is that if you have high clearance RAM such as the corsair vengeance pro rgb, the GPU will have to 'lean' a small bit on the ram. But that hasn't caused any issues for me whatsoever...
