Its an option, but certainloy not ideal. Another not ideal option would be to have the PSU inside the case, ie in the 5 1/4" bays, and have an extension lead running to the back of the case. This would obviously vent hot air int othe case, but this ould hopefully be less of an issue as I would be watercooling the NB and GPU, and phase cooling the CPU. It would however eat up a lot of the drive bays.
