Since receiving my new PSU, I've realised that I no longer have space for the top fan in my Lian-Li PC-A17A case (The PSU is longer than the case was originally designed for). The problem is that the fan acts as a holding point for the screws holding the mesh in place on top. As a result, having taken the fan out I now have a gaping hole in the top of the case.

Is there a solution available to allow the mesh to be fitted with some kind of contraption underneath to allow the screws holding the mesh in place to screw into?

Any takers? Just need some kind of contraption to allow the screws from the top "bite" to hold the mesh in place.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Surely you can just replace the (AFAIK self tapping) screws that hold the fan/mesh in place with similar size screws which use a nut and washer?

Unless I am misunderstand something, you need countersunk screws, the only problem is getting the correct size. I suggest searching for 'countersunk screw and nut'.
