Just trying to choose a new case (getting one for Christmas, woo) and I like the look of both of these.

Just wondering if anyone has tried either case and what are their views on it.

I originally wanted a WaveMaster but have read things about the cooling... not good when I'm already running a rather toasty system.

Any info?

V1000B+ II (the black one!) Looks stunning, build quality is fabulous. You won't regret buying a Lian Li.

What's the difference between the V1000 and V1000+?

+ models have a crossflow blower which sits over the graphics card(s) and vents out the rear, the rear axial fan then becomes an intake. The dividers in the lower section are removeable.

The +II replaces the crossflow blower with a normal axial fan which vents through the side panel, again the rear fan operates as an intake.

Cool, cheers rpstewart. That's interesting to know :)

Think I'm going to look out for a V1000B... not got much money to spend.

They're all the same price - and the +II model has all the best bits of the other models - honestly. You definitely want a '+' at the very least.

I ordered a V1000+ and a V2000+ from OCUK last week, as I couldn't get the PlusII versions in stock anywhere...even OCUK said they couldn't get them for a while.

Guess what...both turned up and are PlusII versions, I was well chuffed, and the quality of these beauties is better than the PC60 and 6087 I already had.

I still have to stare at them now!!!

 I hope I get a PlusII. OcUK have them listed as just the Plus.

Ah well, whatever model OcUK stock, I'll be happy. There's one on its way to me now :D

Most prob will be a +II, I bought 1 just a few weeks ago, site says + but got a +II.

Mmmm... I want to get one of the V1000 Plus II's, but I'm hesitant about ordering if it's not clear I will get it or just the standard Plus. Maybe i'll wait until OCUK actually list it as a Plus II on the site. Have they told anyone when they will be getting any in - despite the fact it seems they have some already. How can they not know what they have are Plus II's if that's what they are?? Won't it say on the box?!

:)

Its 90% certain you will get a +II. But they arn't likely to ever list them as such, because as far as I know, they aren't marked on the box. They would therefore have to open up every box to confirm it, which just wouldn't be worth it. If I was you, i'd order one and if it doesn't turn out to be a +II, then return it under the distance selling regulation.

How do you know it definitely is a Plus II ;)? Does it say Plus II on the case itself?

Big hole in the side panel kinda gives it away ;)

Can I just ask how many 120mm fans the V1000 has that can be replaced with other models? I assume it's 3, but I thought I read somewhere that one was fixed and it couldn't be changed, but I can't believe that's true. It doesn't have any 80mm fans does it?

The official description didn't make it 100% clear: 12 cm bearing fans x 2, 12 cm patent cooling kit x 1, Air Duct for CPU x 1, Air Duct for PSU fan x 1.

It has three 12cm fans on the plusII. All of them can be changed very easily.

I have a v2000 +2 and a V1000 +2.

The cases have suprised me with how quiet they are. Shouldn't think most people would see the need to change the fans, but ultimately they are easy to change. :)

With the stock fans they are quiet? That surprises me as I've seen a lot of people moan about the standard Lian Li fans from a noise point of view - after a bit of use anyway.

Seems very quiet to me. I am sure for £10 a throw plus postage you might get quieter, but let me put it in perspective - the fans run at 1600rpm, and I can't hear them above the scythe 1200rpm fan on my two Ninjas.

At the time I bought the case I also got some Akasa led fans, a couple of the normal ones and the amber "ultra quiet" one. The normal ones were quite a bit louder and I didn't go with the amber either as I still felt it was slightly noisier side by side.
