life

Definitely go to your GP on Monday if this is how you feel. If you're as bad as you come across on here then you should also consider phoning the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90.

Also, depression is a serious illness which lacks a great deal of understanding and sympathy from the general public. Anyone (Derek W) who can read the opening post and state "pathetic" needs to grow up and do some research on mental illness and psychological disorders.

I felt exactly the same as you did a few years ago and I came very close to ending it all but I didn't and I'm so glad I didn't. You may feel like there's no hope and you don't want to go on but that's just depression and depression dosen't last forever eventually you will look back on this and wonder how you could have been SO stupid to even consider ending your life.

So go to the doctor and get help, maybe even see a therapist it really does help to talk to someone.

But most of all DON'T kill yourself because once your life is over it's over you don't get a second chance. I promise you it will get better just hold on it's worth it.

Stone cold sober now. If we could all pretend this never happened, that would be great.

I promised myself years ago I'd never drink again, and this is the first time I've been wasted for since then. It's not good for me, clearly.

Some people are "happy drunk", I'm the polar opposite of that.

Pretending it didn't happen is one thing. Ignoring what seems to be an pretty big issue is another. I'd speak to someone if I were you.

+1.

Although alcohol does have the ability to bring out totally different things in people. I would consider as above :-)

or you can just not let the ******** grind you down ;)

If you're unhappy in your life, do something to change it. you have your own mind, put it to good use instead of dwelling on the **** parts of your life. or in simple terms.......cheer the **** up. It aint difficult you know.

EDIT

and yes it is pretty pathetic to post on an internet forum that you're feeling suicidal. Take a step in the right direction and help yourself rather than whine about it.

OP - as has been mentioned, stop drinking NOW! It doesn't help you think straight at all.

I've suffered from depression and anxiety pretty much my whole life so i know how bad it can seem at times.

Make an appointment with your doctor ASAP. Tell them it's an emergency if they say they're fully booked. They'll refer you to see a therapist and/or prescribe you some meds. Believe me it will help.

The OP is just asking for help. The drink allows you to say whats on your mind, so it's probably a good thing he has mentioned it.

I can relate to it and depression/social anxiety can put you in a very very dark place. It's a nasty circle. There is no easy solution and I'm still trying to work it out for myself :) Just make sure people around you understand the situation.

Feel your pain....

I've been through some deep dark patches in my life - but as the old cliché states: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I post silly stuff when drinking too - in fact I'm notorious for it.
If it's just a blip then don't worry about it.

Damnit, he edited it.

WHAT DID IT SAY!?

End it then. Stop your QQ'ing on the internet.

I hope you never have to endure depression or feel suicidal you ****.

Some really insensitive posts up in here.

It's often a cry for help and provided the response is right it can be a catalyst for change in a positive direction, they've made a big step, opening themselves up and being honest, insulting people that are feeling down or suicidal by saying they are "pathetic" or to just "man up" does nothing to help the situation, I can't even comprehend why another human being would want to willingly kick someone while they are already down, it makes no sense, how is that even in a person to do that
