Looking to buy a pair of white h.i.d looking bulbs for a zx10 04,they are an h4 bulb I think, don't want an h.i.d kit just some cheap looking bulbs, anyone have any recommendations? Thanks

Are they the super bright blue ones that cars often use?

They **** me off so much. There is no need to have a headlight that bright. I can barely see a thing when a car passes me on the bike with those things blaring.

those are hid i think,i think better lighting is needed on a bike due to mr.magoo car drivers but yeah on cars its a bit overkill

If you cross paths with Mr MAgoo it won't make any difference if you've got the Needles lighthouse on the front of your bike.

Agreed these new HID lights on cars are ridiculous - if you can't see 100m in front of your car you shouldn't be driving.

Worse still are the cheap Chinese DIY HID kits which the majority of the time are badly fitted - the number of cars I see with crossed HID's is ridiculous  or with one HID working and the otherside with just the dipped beam

ive bought a set of xenon blue bulbs,h7 fitment and set of side light bulbs,i didnt want the hid kits just a cheap set of bulbs to give me a whiter looking light and not yellow

not up to date on this bulb malarkey, but for £4.99 it was a good buy, they look much better now

Hopefully these new rules will get rid of the barry boys after market ones

Won't make a jot of difference to most folk with retro fitted HID kits.

Disconnect HID ballasts, remove HID bulbs and refit OEM Halogen bulbs. Take vehicle for MoT. Vehicle passes MoT. Drive vehicle home. Remove OEM Halogen bulbs and refit HID bulbs until 12 months elapses then rinse and repeat. Think of it along the same lines as bikers with race cans fitted who have to use 'picky' MoT testers who require an OEM can to be fitted at MoT time. Invariably, the OEM can comes off about an hour later after the test has concluded and the race can goes back on till next time.

As to what bulbs to fit, I've got an Osram Nightbreaker in the Mille's headlight, nice crisp white clear light, and an 8x LED parking light.
