light scratches?

It depends how light these scratches are. If you have been lucky enough just to damage the clearcoat then you are likely to find that some decent compound will remove them. However if you have gone through the clearcoat to the basecoat then it's going to be a touch up job.

P.S Have no idea what the first part of your post actually means but I got the jist. :p
 
Auto-glym Paint revovator (the one with the pink label) gets scratches out pretty good,
G3 for the more hardcore scratch removal,

remember to treat areas you've done with wax so not to leave it unprotected
 
Megs scratch X 2.0 should do the trick by hand... Worked fine on removing a couple of ''leaning'' scratches from my car caused by people leaning against it.
Alternatively SSR2.5 but I have no experience using that by hand, only by machine.
