Hi guys,

I know it's been done before just wanted to try for myself ;) -

lightstream.jpg

Equipment: 30D, 50mm f/1.4 and tripod.
Settings: f/10, ISO 100 and 30 second exposure.

Apart from the border this is how it came out of the camera.

Thats cool!
I quite like the way the side hedges are slightly lit buy the car's headlights. Would be great to see this with a longer exposure so that even more light was captured. Theres quite allot of dark in the image.

Cheers Ry@n,

I know what you mean. Gave that a try but with the cars coming up the hill towards me it caused all sorts of lens flare and massive over exposure.

This was the best balance between subject interest and a clean image! :)

Also, it's heavily overcast here so is very dark. Only what was illuminated by the headlights would show up.

Looking good mate, that place must have been really dark!
Thanks bigmouse - glad you liked it!

It was really really dark!

Normally i can wander down any of the lanes around 10pm and see where i was going, but not last night.

Heavy cloud cover does a wonderful job of blotting out any light.

I tried some extended exposures at higher ISO's but they were far too noisy! :(

Cheers again,
