Light weight wall tiles

Hi All

A friend of mine wants to give her kitchen a bit of a cosmetic once over and is looking for something she has been told exists abut so far she hasn't been able to find... she's described them as fake tiles that look like tiles and stick on like tiles but are very lightweight and possibly self-adhesive...

She has said that the walls are wooden but I'm not quite sure what she means by that - possibly wood cladding...So would need to be something that can be stuck to wood.

Ideally they could do with being heat resistant too so she can but them behind the hob as well as else where...

Does anyone know of any products that might be suitable and ideally available in cream, red and black...

Any help very much appreciated.

The main options look to be http://www.stickandgo.com or http://www.thesmarttiles.com/en/ however I have seen cheap alternatives in places like the pound shop.

Personally if it's for a kitchen I would just properly tile it, heat, water and grease/grime are never going to work well long term with self adhesive tiles.

I think she/s thinking more like proper tiles than those, might be worth ignoring the self adhesive bit...I think that's probably a bit much of an ask...lol

Surely that would just be a normal tile? I'm not really sure what you are looking for, as if it isn't self adhesive and is more like a proper tile it will just be a tile? You would need to fix them to the wall with tile adhesive then grout....

That's pretty much what I thought when she was telling me about them...lol

Are there any tiles/types of tiles which are lighter weight than the usual type of tiles?

Think I saw some in range today, "easy tiles" didn't look at them properly though.
