LED strips & controller will be here next week

I'm just starting on the lighting for my lads room, but i'm using the geoleaf project on printables...

Already have all the LED's and controller, need a smaller PSU as mine was for driving a few thousand LEDs but am now under 500 for this.

Using a ESP32 controller for alexa intergration.

The LEDs I'm using are: 5m LED Strip Lights 60LEDs/M RGBIC WS2811 Light Strip

and I will be cutting and sectioning the LEDs using these. ( I have another pack of 20 extra clips coming as the wiring kit only has 10 included.)

Any chance of links for the bits you're using?

I binned those wire connectors, they were dire. I ended up just soldering the cables manually instead.
Here is the finished result.

I used a different connector on mine, although there's huge benefits in being able to have it modular etc etc, once it's up on the wall i'm not going to break it apart so the connectors are useless....

Soldering all the connections is a good solution, I almost wish I'd gone that way.

Thanks, I really enjoyed doing it as well. The cost savings vs a Nanoleaf setting is good, but for me the fun was the making part, and putting it all together etc. It feels really satisfying doing this.

ever thought about writing this up on instructibles or somewhere? looks like a cool project, tempted to do it myself.
