Hi, just re-done my loop (again) and leak testing at the moment, really happy with it this time but would like to light it.

I'm going to cut a window in the side of the case (have the acrylic and u-channel) showing the motherboard area and the res, here's a pic:
(v.crude as no lighting set up at the moment)

Question is how best to light it?

I was thinking maybe adding red cathode's to the side of the case maybe but never used lighting in a PC before so no idea what's good and what's not.

Any help really appreciated.

Bitfenix red led strips look red. But you have to place them so that you can't see the LEDs, only the glow.

Personally I would go for white LEDs, just to illuminate the case. Red would flood everything red..

LED strips are much better than cahodes though (well.. the bitfenix ones are). You can just plug them straight into molex. The 'connect' versions can also be daisy chained.

Yep it does look neat!
But you seem to have 2 tubes connected to the RES on top and one more at the bottom? Is that a fill/Drain line?

Sorry I don't have any input on your problem though, I am intrigued by your loop!

UV is another good colour choice. Doesn't flood the case in that much coloured light, but with the right fluid, can really bring the colours out :)

I've ordered a red LED strip to highlight the res from the back, 2 x 3mm LED's to light the top motherboard block (already have the same on both Raystorm's) and 2 x 30cm cold cathode's in white to highlight everything from the front.

I didn't go for white LED's at the front as thought they would be to bright - hope it looks OK

Fitted the lights now.

Went for red LED strip behind the res, another red strip at the bottom up lighting the bottom of the board and a single red LED on the left.

The pictures make it look really red but its not, the lightings really subtle. Will post some well taken pics once I've fitted the window.
