Got back form London last night and wanted to get all my photos imported into LR2 so I could sort/edit them over the weekend but it pops up with an error saying "the following files are damaged or corrupt".

I shot in RAW + JPG and I can import the jpg's in fine but I wanted to work with the RAW files. I've got all the updates that I know of for LR2 and not had this problem before. any ideas?

I tried importing from device in Bridge and that accepted the files perfectly, but I stopped using Bridge for LR2 a while ago as I found it a lot better!

You could try updating LR2 as there was a new RAW importer release recently (6 months ago or so).

Or export the catalog, resintall and re-import.

Sorry not to have a better answer.

Are you copying directly from the camera or from a location on your hard disk?

If it's from the camera try copying them over to a folder on your hard drive (e.g. Desktop) and then importing them in to LR2 from there.

Tried copying straight from camera and then importing them from Bridge to disk then disk to LR2. Both didn't work.

I think I have the latest RAW importer update as far as I know but I will check later tonight when I'm home.

Lightroom stacks JPEG+RAW pairs so you may well be working on the RAW when you select it.

Thats a very good point. Try moving all the raw files to a different folder of there own. Remove all the jpegs from that day from LR and then try to import just the raw files.

Worth a bash??
