I don't see any harm like a like a post button that showed that a post was popular, it wouldn't have to be of any other consequence.

It works well on forums that only have question/answer type threads, wouldn't fit with this forum.

This forum looks nice and sleek/clean, good to keep it that way imo.

How about a "ban" button, or a "stupid" button? That'd be more fun!! If an OP gathers X number of "ban" clicks then he is auto-banned. If he gathers a lot of "stupid" clicks then he is..stupid.
