Like some help

Welcome to OCUK.
You could get a decent ATI Radeon HD 5850 for around £100 mark, although some are a little over that, around £120-£170.

Hi there,

With that motherboard - when you install a discrete graphics card (like your current 8800GT) then the onboard graphics is disabled and bypassed - so all the graphics duties are done by the proper graphics card.

As for which card to go for - if you want to stick close to or under the £100 budget then the HD 5770 is the best bet. This chart shows how the 5770 compares to the 8800GT.

If you can push the budget a bit - then the GTX 460 768MB for £120 is a really excellent card. This chart shows how it compares to a 8800GT.

As Emphacy mentions, the HD 5850 has come down in price massively recently. You can get one of these for £135 on OCUK, this chart shows how it compares to a 8800GT.

Thanks a lot for the help very nice people here i can go over 100 it was just around that much.
I was really wondring if i should get an ati to link with the onboard card an i know my 8800gt is not the best these days its just it still works fine an it cost me like £300 a few years ago.
I'll try get my system linked so you can see what would work best for me thanks again

It really isn't worth linking with the onboard graphics - it requires very specific ATI graphics cards and the performance boost it provides (compared to the raw performance of the discrete cards mentioned above) is insignificant.
