lil question

A single HD3870XT is slower than the GT/GTS with AA enabled and most of us like to use it to make our images sharper. The X2 3870 is much faster than a 8800GT/GTS. There is nothing like for like sadly.

If you game at 1600x1200 then get a 512mb 8800GTS to tide you over for now as new cards are looming from both Nvidia and ATI so it's best spending the least that you can right now whilst still getting amazing visuals when gaming. If you are under 1600x1200 then get the 8800GT. £110 for the 8800GT and £140 for the 8800GTS 512mb roughly from here so you will get a great card for great prices.

In about may/june the new ati cards should be out with nvidia a bit later,i would wait until you ready to upgrade and see what out, like J.D said at moment nvidia are ahead on speed when you compair the same priced cards.
