single core boost speed to 5GHz - no thanks intel. Another failure. My sandybridge can do 5GHz with 4 cores and that will beat this single core easy! Waste of money by Intel 5GHz with a single core for nearly £380. Get a proper cpu that can do 4 cores of 5GHz+ for less than that price.

You can't really compare an older overclocked part like that to a stock one. At 5-5.2Ghz it will be significantly faster in single and multiple thread.

It's an 8700k, so pretty much the same.

Well I am getting 5Ghz between 1.25 and 1.3v (-150mv dynamic undervolt) which is an improvement for me my voltages do jump around a bit more than a desktop board.
