Limited or no connection

Hi, Just installed windows media center 2005 edition onto my media pc which previosly had windows xp pro on it and the internet worked fine as did the network connection but after i restarted computer it now does not connect ot the internet and comes up with the limited or no connection fault on the network connection, now i have seen this problem before but cannot remember how to sort it, Anyone got any idea's?

plug your router & modem out and plug it back in by using the power cable wait about 5seconds...if u have same problem let me know.

O.k. Thanks, Have done that now on the router and modem, Still got the same problem, What is strange is that when i boot into safe mode with networking it works fine, It must be something i have installed?

thanks for your responce i have not sorted it, it seems that it was the soundblaster card that was causing all my problems.
