Limiting upload speed?

Hey,


I'd like to limit the upload on a machine in my network. My girlfriends flatmate spends all day downloading off torrents sites and uses up all of the upload speed and that makes browsing very difficult. The Asus router we have has the option to bandwidth monitor. You can limit the upload speed on a port.

How do I get the port of his machine?

I've had a word with him and he gets better for a few days but goes back to his old ways. I just want half the upload or something so my girlfriend can still browse the web.

If its just a port, Then that won't do anything. As most Bit torrent softwares can change the port they're on.

Can you not limit it by IP?

Edit: There are softwares available, But if you've spoke to him and he's just reverted back to his old ways, Will that work?
 
Even if you limit speeds often the connection cycling, etc. will cause a lot of slowdown.

Unless you have a router with sophisticated QoS this isn't going to be easy.
 
It's an asus WL566gM.

So there isn't much I can do without physically getting onto his pc?
