I first saw this device mentioned on these forums so thought I would try here instead
I occasionally upload guitar clips to youtube, but the sound quality is generally poor. I've been looking at solutions to this and found out about the GX. Can anyone tell me if it would be suitable for this purpose?
I use a basic webcam via USB and a cable which goes straight from the pickup of my guitar to the line input socket on my soundcard.
Does the GX use the USB connection solely as a power source?
And is it likely to cause problems recording video simultaneously? (overload the USB bandwidth?)
This is the quality of my recordings at the moment, I'm particularly unhappy with the volume levels, but this is the loudest I can get it without distorting the sound.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
