Lines on monitor screen?

Hey guys.

I've noticed some very faint white lines coming down my monitor, I've noticed on near enough all apps and games.

I've got a screenshot as an example, I've clearly marked where the lines are with the black lines.

Is this a screenshot or a picture from a digital camera? If its a screenshot then it means that the problem is to do with your graphics card(outputting the black lines) and not your monitor messing up, as if it the problem was only with your monitor the screenshot wouldnt show the problem in the jpg

Edit- Rereading that i now understand its to do with your monitor and you put the black lines in the screenshot manually? so yeh something not right with your monitor if thats the case, maybe try it with a different cable or another pc/laptop just to make sure

I tried my brothers monitor (he has the exact same monitor as mine) and I didn't notice any lines.

Looks like my monitor is bust. :(
 
Nah mate, it's over 2 years old now sadly.

Oh well, it lasted well and still isn't totally noticeable yet. :cool:
