Linglong

I got a set of 4 Toyo's T1-R's 195/55/15 fitted for £198 - camskill

The car previously had Pirelli P6000's all round. So far I'm impressed with the toyos, much better, especially in the wet.

None of the major manufacturers offer their high end performance tyres in such a small size though? I can't see Contisport Contact 3, Michelin Pilot Sport, Eagle F1 Assymetric, Vredstien Ultra Sessenta, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A etc etc in this size?
Yet you can get uber sticky toyos yokos and avons in that size for peanuts :)
I don't need longevity, most of my cars do under 3k miles per year.
I want something that sticks like **** to a blanket.
Work pays for the tyres on the van :)

Just had a spec my a tyre thread pop up on another forum I visit. Im not hopefull, he is looking at "nexon" tyres at the moment and the first reply was

"lassa's mate, they are basically bridgestone just with a different name"

Oh dear, I do wonder why I post there somtimes.

Is it by chance a forum largely frequented by people who 'barry up' Renaults ?

How did you guess :D Its a shame, there are some genuine people with some very tidy cars. Then you have those who clearly have no sense of taste or common sense.

Best deal I ever had on tyres was last year at RS National Day where yokohama had a stand there, picked up 4x parada 2s in 195/50/15 for my mr2 for £108. Think I paid about £70 a corner for eagle f1s on my 197 a while back too which was pretty decent.

Nankangs of the front of my mr2, they are pretty horrendous. Front end steps out a fair bit and generally makes the car feel a bit twitchy. Braking distance isn't exactly great either. As soon as i get the cash im gonna treat the old girl to some new shoes allround. Any reccomendations for 14"?

Just noticed on my mums car - she has one 'woosung' tyre  sounds pretty bad

LOL, my friend's house is called Woosung.

I'm sure I read that Linglong and Toyo were the same company - probably not true.

Camskill have Yoko Pradas 17s for £68. Will be getting them when I finally get rid of my 18s.

Dunlop SP Sport 9000s all round here.

But at 255/35/18 on the rear and 235 on the front, buying all four hurt my pocket a bit!

Why did you chose those out of interest, did you get a really good deal or something? They were replaced by Dunlop SP Sport MAXX over 5 years ago.
