Linglong

Then get the faulty suspension components replaced.

Suspension has been checked over, 3rd and above its fine, 1st you get a hint of wheelspin just doing a normal lift off. 2nd round corners and such.

The car doesn't have ESP or any traction control, just ABS.

Sounds like it just torque steers in the way you'd expect from a mediocore chassis with a bit too much power through it.

Doesn't pull to either side like torque steer is suppose to under hard accelleration, only loses control when cornering at speed. Just off the line it wheelspins a fair amount.

My Mum has always fitted Roadchamp remoulds. New, black and round... and more importantly, cheap. Not what I'd choose but it's her decision. She knows cheap tyres perform worse than more expensive ones.

I tend to go for mid range fronts and cheap rears. It's a crude but effective speed limiter that doesn't prevent me from indulging in low-speed hooliganism ;)

New Ti comes with P6000s all round, should be better :p

They're made of solid plastic. I'm sure they're based on lego wheels.

I had them on my Focus and they had me worried at times :eek: Understeered, felt slippy/skittish, noisy, though they do last forever, so unless you change early, you have to endure it even longer :(

so it turns out i'm retarded
retreaded = recap = remoulded

i just assumed they were illegal on cars for some reason. having said that, i didn't even know they existed for passenger cars :/

Linglongs of death are comedy. I wonder just how much damage would be saved if PROPER tyres were mandatory. If we are talking around 10m stopping difference between the best and worst of the budgets, there has to be closer to 20m difference between the proper performance stuf and your Linglong ditch finders. They should be banned, plain and simple.

Shocking, shocking tyres.

I had a set put on the back of mt XE Astra just before i sold it as the old ones were on the limit, on a 20mph bend it was sliding everywhere.

VERY dangerous tyres!

Only tyres you'll get for £20 each are 12" or smaller, mate. That's nankings for the mini :p

Nope I recently paid less than £80 for a full set of maxxis 185/65 R14s. And they are fine, better than pirellis and michelins that have been standard fit on some of my cars. Also still look new after 5k miles which for me is pretty good going.
