linked/unlinked

I think linked means as you increase the cpu FSB the memory frequency will follow depending on ratio you are using.
Unlinked the memory and cpu fsb can be set independantely.

Hmmm sure if this was the case, what is the need for linked then.? if your ram is not very good at overclocking its just going to hold the cpu back :eek:
 
1:1 ram to fsb was helpful with Athlon 64s, but these days you're best off just clocking yer memory as high as it will go.
