LinkedIn - profile change notification

Hi, I'm looking to update my profile, specifically my profile photo as I don't have one and apparently having one increases your viewability. I remember that LinkedIn used to notify your connections if you updated this despite changing your alert settings to not show. Is this still the case as it's not clear having read their help page.

when i done it the other day.. there was a checkbox at the bottom of the page that said "notify connections" or something along them lines... I unticked it and it worked OK
