linking to server files

Hi,
I need to link to a video clip that is on one of our servers the
if i find the clip and go to properties i get this
\\serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\VLC\VLC\vlc.exe" %1 "\\Serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\All_Video_Files\Grim Up North Clip 1.vob
when i insert this as a link i get cannot find file,
even though it is there
what am i doing wrong

\\serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\VLC\VLC\vlc.exe" %1 "\\Serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\All_Video_Files\Grim Up North Clip 1.vob

That path is actually the path to VLC (\\serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\VLC\VLC\vlc.exe) telling it to load \\Serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\All_Video_Files\Grim Up North Clip 1.vob. You need to put it as just a link to the file, not the player too, so it would just be "\\Serverx4\apps\AV Server\System\All_Video_Files\Grim Up North Clip 1.vob"
