Ok, after a few hours of pratting about, my net works from modem to pc via cat5, but router in the middle of it and I cant connect.

I'm not paying premium rate to find out what to do, so help me, ocuk

Erm, yeah, you know as much as I know. So what would I need tof ind out/do to help you help me?

What modem? With NTLs modems, you have to power cycle them after changing what it's connected to as the MAC of the NIC or router is assigned to the modem. A simple unplug/plug will sort that though.

telewest black webstar. No amount of unplugging and replugging has worked

EDIT:

can now see the home network via both pc's for some reason. Can't access internet on either one now, can get net if my pc is plbugged straigh to modem though
