Linksys WRT54GL

isnt this the router you reccomended to me alec? Well if you are getting one then its been very good for me, very stable, wireless is pretty good aswell.
 
I had a GSv4 but gave it to a friend so ordered the GL........

The tomato firmware is supposed to be well laid out and have nice graphs for signal strength.... It is also supposed to be very stable, but I can't find a working link for 1.06 version?

If anyone has a copy can you ping me it via mail "in trusted" many thanks

think so, or you might have the GS i cant remember tbh

As per what the readme file says, the WRT54G is the firmware to install.
* WRT54G\code.bin is for Linksys WRT54G v1-4 and WRT54GL v1.
* WRT54GS\code.bin is for Linksys WRT54GS v1-3.
* WRT54GSv4\code.bin is for Linksys WRT54GS v4.
* WRTSL54GS\code.bin is for Linksys WRTSL54GS (No USB support).
* trx\code.trx is for the Buffalo WHR-G54S, WHR-HP-G54 and WZR-G54, and Asus WL-500G Premium (No USB support).

Just an update

WRT54GL arrived today, flashed with tomato 1.06 (thanks for that basmic) and plugged it in when I got home........set WPA (TKIP)

Getting excellent 54Mbps signal all over the house and not drop outs so far!!

Great bit of kit!!

Just setting ports up now and backup settings and I'm done :D
