Linux and an ActiveSync Doobrie

Hello all,

I think more and more seriously about runnigna linux box instead of xp. The only thing i can i think i will have problems with though is getting data onto my Window smartphone.

Is there a type of Active Sync for linux that someone has knocked up, or would i have to go the Wine route?

Oh and is that Cedega any good for running windows games?

Not looking sucessfull!

Wine doesnt give any good results for ActiveSync and Outlook!

This seems to be the only thing that points in any direction to hooking up to the device.

Might have to abandon the idea of dumbing windows.

Currently afaik there is no way to get active sync running on Linux as have looked.

Cedega is not bad for games

Unfortunately Palm PDAs are better-supported than Windows PPC Edition ones atm. I found a Ubuntu forum thread discussing various methods which maybe worth a try. Maybe as a last resort (depending on the type of data you wish to sync) would be to use bluetooth file transfer?
