Hi All,

Just a quick question if i wanted to connect an Xbox (non 360) to my Linux-Box to share the internet connection how would i go about this?

My Linux-Box has a Wireless & Wired NIC, so wireless for connection to router downstairs and wired for connection to Xbox.

I'm very new to Linux so i don't know how to set up the sharing part.

Thanx in advance.

if they both are connected one way or another to your router, they should have an internet connection?
if this is not the case explain a little more about your setup and how you wanna do it

I think he means like in Windows you can link a device with a PC that has a Internet connection and the connected device uses the PC's like a router.

I dont know how to do this in Linux. Why not but a wireless bridge and then you wont need your PC on to get the internet?

Hey,

Sorry let me try and explain a bit better.

I have a xbox upstairs which is currently not connected to the internet.

i want to move my Linux rig upstairs which will have both a Wired & Wireless NIC. the wireless NIC will provide the internet connection to my Linux rig.

what i would like to do is connect my xbox to the Wired NIC and then sum how tell my linux rig to share the internet connection with my xbox.

i hope that explains it better.
