linux for servers and training courses

Is it easy to install and run thinks like mediatomb (ps3 streaming) and sabnzbd (usenet client, im 90% sure this can as it runs its web panel through firefox) and whats a good torrent client for remote web based login? Is torrent flux the only way? or can I install utorrent through wine without a GUI?

Im gonna have a lot of time on me hands in december so getting a server setup will fill my days :p

Thanks all for the replies.

Thanks our IT Guy reccommends openSUSE for this, though i will have a look at fedora core.
So your system is stable?

Yes, the system has an almost 100% uptime. It only went down when I wanted to try mounting a SCSI drive in there to backup our Mirapoint mail system.

But, Fedora Core is very easy to use. You will just need to go into terminal and type "start httpd" if the server restarts, as that is the one small problem we have. Installed VNC and we just use that which is excellent.

Hope this helps - sorry for the late reply.

I prefer RHEL to SLES, but that may be because it comes with more of the tools I use (like gnu-screen), and I have to install such things over and over on SLES machines.
