My mum is looking at getting a netbook (with Linux). She also has a 3 mobile broadband dongle, are these compatiable? Having problems finding requirements on 3 website.
Not entirely sure it's the same scenario, but I have an Elonex Webbook and an orange mobile broadband dongle, it runs Ubuntu 8.04, I think it uses a package called wader-gtk or something.
Go get this months Linux Format (yeah i suck for buying stuff that can be found on the net, but i was very very bored in belfast int last week) it has a full guide on how to do it with the most common modems
If you need any further help ill get the linux format guide up online or something tomrrow (have to work tonight) as id be interested to see this work! (havnt had time to test out my mobile broadband thing on linux yet)
