linux reccomendation for 256mb ram

Somebody I know dropped off a computer with 256mb DDR1 ram and win xp on it. Its an HP oem machine. He thought I know a bit about computers so I will be able to make something of it. He wants to use it as a office computer or something..

Anyways I don't want to spend too much time on this and was just wondering which linux might work best on this machine. Also as i don't have a cd writer I need something that can install from usb.

for 256mb id go lighter than crunchbang, puppy or slitaz would be recommendation

Puppy, Tiny Core or CrunchBang.

Just installed debian stable and it sits pretty on the desktop at 130mb of ram so that could be another option.
