Hello fellow folders.
So I'm running via VMware & my ppd is dropping with new projects..
2604 or 5 gave 1760 points & took about 2 days.
I'm now getting, 2609 = 1523 credit 642 ppd takes 2 1/2 days.
Currently 2608 = 1385 credit 577ppd & will take almost 3 days.
It seems the latter 2 projects have a 4 day deadline compared to 3 for the 2604/5's.
What is really weird is that I reduced my o/c from 218 to 212MHz [x12] & the WU has speeded up a little:confused: Could this indicate a RAM prob? I have 2 x 512 @ 2-3-3-6

My ubuntu/VMware is currently out of action (again) but have noticed a v slight drop in ppd - but 90% of the time I was on 2604/5 @ 21h's
Also have 2x 512 geil slightly slacker at 4,4,4,8 (but is 667 at 860 :D) so I probable not ram related unless your an avid gamer ;)

As to the OC - i've always found that fsb that are divisable by 4 give best results, could just be that chip is more efficient at that rate :D

Sorry to crash in the thread guys

But it looks like this Ubuntu/VMware is the way to go for a good ppd, has anyone got any guides to setting it up as I've never touched Linux before

My RAM is DDR 3200LL Corsair with the LL standing for low latency. On my ASUS A8N SLi Premium it won't boot when I set it to 333MHz even if I set it to SPD rather than manual. I'm incline to blame the mobo as this memory ran at 333 & 400 on my old mobo [socket A].

Not really very knowageable about AMD setup's and jumped from SD to ddr2 with my own machines. Still the 4x rule has never let me down yet, but boards have usually been my limiting factor. My AWD9-MAX is now, but I brought it to host a conroe not the allendale I have currently ;)
