I'm currently considering going dual core. The only thing is that i only use my computer for gaming and surfing the web. From another thread i just read i know CS:S supports it, but does anyone have a list (or a link to one) of games currently supporting DC's. Also what sort of improvements am i looking at from going down this route?

Cheers,
Zeph.

might not be Im sure it just sumsort of patch bt not full support as such as i say got it from some other fourms

BF2 is not dual core, I setup dual screens, normal FPS during playing.

Peak mem usage was a shade of 1gb, CPU was 50%, one of my two cores was loaded.

Same with CoD2, locked at 50%. AoE3, I have the feeling is the same - I will install it and see how its goes.

did you patch cod2 first ?????

I have yet to see any benchmarks of games with/without duel core patching. ie call of duty 2. As far as I can tell all it has done is resolved the drop in performance issues with duel cores in these games. Anybody got any evidence that duel core has increased performance in any game played today?

Not sure where that extra £100 goes if your not multi tasking your pc.

QUAKE III!!!!!!!!!!

You can play at 2000fps using dual core :p
Used to be my favourite game that.

Ill probably need to strap some AA on first. :D

Edit;Yes to dual core increase smoother play on quake 4 demo.have no tests on paper but helps with a few extra frame rates, and feels smoother.I think that this might be due to patch fix tho.
Not sure wether its worth another 100 squid, except the seti and rosetta peeps will be happy.
