Hi All,

First off, please no "OMGZ USE KB+MOUSE CONTROLLER SUCKS" replies.

I've had my PC hooked up to my TV lately and am enjoying sitting back playing games with a controller (yes, I have a console but it's noisier, has worse graphics and new games are more expensive).

So does anyone have a list of PC games compatible (by default) with the 360 controller, or just any suggestions of good games that support it? There's one on wikipedia but it's incomplete; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_Controller_Compatible_PC_Games

I just finished playing Devil May Cry, Dead Space & Far Cry 2 which all worked perfect with the controller so does Fallout 3... but Bond QoS & CoD5 don't seem to be compatible.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty much any game is ? it's just a game pad ? why does it need to be by default isn't hard to get a game working with any gamepad.

Just download a free util called xpadder as this allows you to configure any gamepad to use keyboard mappings so for instance any game which does not support a gamepad you just use xpadder to map whatever the keyboards commands are to your gamepad or you can even remap them its so flexible and easy to create profiles for games. Works best with the 360 pads or any other dual analog model which has all the buttons and axis. Like you I game on my HDTV (have been for almost 2 years now) as its a quantum leap :D above TFT gaming and once you get used to it a gamepad is pretty easy to use.

the 360 pad will of course work with pretty much any game that has joypad support. However, force-feedback on the 360 pad is non-standard and only works with games that support it.

Any game for Windows title should support it correctly as that is mandatory to get the branding (iirc).
non-GFW titles I know work include:-

Colin McRae Dirt
Overlord
Assassins Creed
Rainbow Six Vegas 1&2

I would however question the Wiki inclusion of TDU and NFS as they certainly do not work correctly (no rumble on TDU, abysmal handling ond no rumble on NFS) on my rig under XP or Vista x64.

Strangly enough COD:WW doesnt work with the 360 pad and thats a Games For Windows title.
Thats because GFW only has to support the 360 pad if it supports any gamepads/joysticks at all. Some games like Stranglehold & CODWW do not support any gamepads/joysticks so have no 360 pad support. But xpadder fixes this very quickly;)
