I know I certainly don't have much in the way of gear when my likely next purchase doubles my total spend :P

Just got a 400d, kit lens, plus the ol' 50mm prime. 2GB CF card, and nothing else yet. Currently saving for a car so it's got to take priority for now!

lol I know it is abit packed out.. Can't fit the 580EX II in the main compartment though it has to go in the seprate top zipped compartment, I always leave it inside it's bag so has some what protection. Have room for one more small lens if needed.. in the top right portion, getting bloody heavy now though :D

im surprised how much room is the the sling shot bag!
With some cunning packing, you can actually get an amazing amount in. The only disadvantage really is that packed up, from a comfort perspecitive, I'd definitely now prefer two straps. A monostrap puts pressure across your chest and stops jackets etc moving, which means you get all hot and sweaty if you're doing a long walk or something.

My Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW:

Main compartment:
350D with grip with attached 70-200 f/2.8 L IS and hood.
Gary Fong puffer.
Canon 2x converter.
58mm CP.
50mm f/1.8 on top of the 18-55 kit lens.
Maglight.
Poncho (with infused mosquito repellent). Invaluable, as it covers you, the camera you have out and the backpack and you don't have to put anything away. It also doubles as a roof attached to a tree with some string and a ground mat.

Top compartment:
Two-blade Swiss Army knife.
Small multi-tool.
30Gb iPod, camera connector and cable.
Canon remote release.
2 spare CF cards (1 big one in the camera).
Grippy gloves.

Front:
Cheap cleaning kit from a high-street store. Top cut off so that it fits in. I don't bother taking a rocket blower with me normally.

If I'm taking a tripod then the 70-200 collar goes in the top compartment. It's too tight to use the card bit for the CFs, so they have to go in the top. Until recently I also had a Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro in there too, but that's sold now. It was where the poncho is now, the poncho was in the top and the gloves were in the front.
