The worst out of the bunch was the Rover - lasted a month before the engine seized and the worst financially was the Civic ... I lost about £5K on that within 18 months * shakes head *

1974 Vauxhall Viva (got stuck in 3rd gear, sold it off)
1978 Morris Marina (too expensive to run on my student allowance)
1974 Mini Cooper (the petrol stink made me sell it)
1978 Mini 1000 (sold for UK holiday)
1978 Toyota Corolla (sold for UK holiday)

D reg mk2 escort 1.3 (2dr) - scrapped rust!
E reg mk2 escort 1.3 (4dr- g G reg?) - crashed writeoff (not my fault)
G reg rover 216 gsi 65K on the clock (auto) - crashed writeoff (not my fault, but ****** off as it was nice to drive - for a rover
and in excellent condition too)
currently: K reg ford escort 1.8 na diesel (comming up to 150k and still going, if in a somewhat agricultural manner)
