Lists

I do, a lot of the time, simple way of explaining is to, make a list of Birthdays coming up, then the list of presents I need to buy, then lists of the amount I have saved to buy the presents with. - Or around Christmas time, I wrote a list that I needed to buy presents, buy cards, and then another list for the amount of wrapping paper I need for each present etc, but then I need lists to who I am going to buy for too... It is like a list within a list if that makes sense.

My heads blown. How do you have time to actually do the stuff on the myriad of lists...

My wife makes lists of the stuff she wants doing on my days off. She sticks them on the Fridge, TV, Monitor, and Stereo. (you can see what I do on my days off)

I stick them in the bin.

Do you write many lists? - I sometimes write lists of lists I have already made. Does anyone get into this addiction quite a bit, or am I just a weirdo? :(

Quite a lot, I have notepads full of the things. In its basic form I have a to do list which I write early in the morning each day, checking against yesterdays stuff to make sure its done, if it isn't it goes on the new list with a priority. Its just basic organisation in my mind?

No never. And people who make lists for things they 'want', why?

If you want something that bad you won't need to make a list to remember...

With the DVDs for instance I've got a reasonable collection already so if I don't have some sort of a list there's a good chance I'll end up buying a duplicate, I don't attempt to remember the full list of what I've got in my head.

It's not necessarily for things that I want or need desperately but for things I'd quite like hence not always being first thing on my mind.

I'm rather surprised no-one has gone with an Xzibit meme yet about lists in lists...

Like the Missus......weirdo.

Seriously though, I used to have lists for everything, these days life just isnt that complex to need them. (and the wife runs my life anyway)
It's a very feminine thing methinks.

I used to have them, but then I stopped thinking of "everything" as important, and just get to things as and when. Life really isn't that complicated (there are obvious exceptions), if you have an average memory. I do something like this mentally:

I do lists for things like planning what I am going to take on holiday or if I suddenly seem to be swamped with things I have to do. Drives the girlfriend mad.
