Little advice needed please

I think with these forums its mainly geared toward desktop PC's because ultimately that is the premium of PC equipment for gaming etc - Laptops are always sub par to these are only beneficial when you need to the portability of them.

I would say I have a prettty good understanding of PC hardware but I know jack **** about laptops, I am guessing that will be pretty common with most users on these forums.

it could be a dry joint on the battery holder or anywhere on the track it uses, is it the same error if the battery is removed.

That looks like a windows popup, not a BIOS warning.

Faulty hardware, memory stick, HDD etc
Drivers
Corruption in system files.

Can you boot from a live linux USB to see if you get the same warnings ?

@Dyson - check the battery voltage as well anyway if you've got a multimeter handy, I know you said you've changed it but if something is shorting in there it could be draining it.

It doesn't come up at every boot, say 1 in 5. The HDD is new, but I'll look at the memory tonight too, I've got a couple of spare sticks I can try.

Thank you :)

@JRS I'll try that too, thank you

Well, all fixed...

Turns out the polarity of the CMOS batteries I've tried were the wrong way round for my motherboard! Many thanks to those that tried to help, I'm very grateful.
