Basically when we first installed the networking system around the house we did it on the cheap so im now looking to upgrade.
The main questino is that our house is a converted barn so is very long (approximately 100ft) with thick walls so even the best wi-fi router would struggle. Is there a way to get, say two wfi routers to work together to give the same signal so when i move about with the iPad i dont have to keep switching between the routers?
At the moment we have the second to latest BT home hub and a second G wifi access point.
I will also need a 12 port wired switch but i would guess that there all fairly similar?

Thank you

Yes, if you have two access points plugged into your switch (or one AP + the router) with the same SSID and passphrase etc but different channels, you can roam from one to the other.

Though this isn't true roaming, there will be a brief blip during the switchover, but not really noticable unless you're streaming video (UDP stuff in general) or transferring large files.
To get true roaming that will allow streaming etc to work (I.E maintaining sessions between APs) you'd need a WLAN controller and enterprise APs. Different ball game altogether.
