Little bit of feedback on building costs pls.

MK sockets are definitely worth it IMO over "budget" ones. For the total extra cost compared to the total price, it's daft not to.

Thanks for the offer I may just do that when I get a little further down the road.

My plan was to ask him to reprice it with me supplying the sockets.

Is it worth paying for MK sockets over something like Hamilton or varilight

I'd get them to give you a price for wiring and flush boxes and see what the difference is. The chrome cover plates are probably only a £5 trade item for a single socket / fused spur.

Out of interest are the companies you've had quotes from all fairly small companies and are they quoting to do all the works?

the one I want to go with is a small company, the other 3 I dont really know but I assume so. Yes they are going to do the whole job.

I did consider project managing it my self and getting in individual trades men to do each job but I just think I will end up loosing a lot of money through making mistakes.

Try getting a quote from a larger house builder, not a small building company more used to doing extensions. Alternatively get quotes from electricians, plumbers and builders and a cost from your architect to project manage.

Some of the rates against the items you posted are quite frankly shocking...... over £900 to fit two panel heaters which cost £200 each!!!

As its a BoQ I assume all these prices are excluding VAT?

Yep I was not pelase about the radiators I thought that was a bit of a joke.

Yes all prices are EXC vat but I do not have to pay VAT as its a new build.
