Anyone going to miss the Little Thief, sorry, I mean Little Chef? Personally I'm not as, IMO, they are probably the worst chain of restaurants I have ever been to.

The only thing I have ever had in one is a cup of coffee and thats because it was boiled first...

Nope. Everytime I've ever been, I've come away with food poisoning of some sort.

Nope. Only time I ever went when I was about 8 or so, and without fail I would end up being very ill after it.

I did go in one on the way to university for the first time, didn't feel ill that time though but the food is disgusting. I would sooner have a McDonalds.

Not going to miss them at all. Went in once and it was nearly a tenner for a breakfast and that was going back 4-5 years ago.

We used to in all the time as kids when we were on outings places and I always remember it as being a lovely place, where they did the best food.

Tried it out a year or 2 back and it was hideous, horrible burnt nasty food and extortionate pricing.

Miss it? NO!

I haven't been since I was a kid, but I used to love it back then. The best bit was the handful of sherbet lollies you got given when you paid the bill on the way out. Oh and the pancakes with syrup.

Will I miss it? Probably not. But I would if I was still 8.

No doubt they'll be replaced by something offering an equally dubious attempt at imitating food, so it'll be like they were never gone.

Used to go loads in the '80s and it thought it was pretty decent. Think its got worse since then though and there's better competition now - McDonalds and Burger Kings etc.

Went to Little Chef while staying at a Travel Lodge and it was very bad value for the money and thats after using a 20% discount, I guess all motorway places are like that :eek:

I didn't see one for ages either until I moved down to London. They have a few at motorway service stations too though, Sandbach services in Cheshire for example.
