Ok as the title states im just scratching my head on why im getting slow speeds on my OCZ agility 3. This forum is always full of readers and just putting a shameless link to my thread in the HDD forums to see if anyone can help me, much obliged

Have you tried changing cables and ports?
See what happens if you stick it in a sata 2 port.
If it sppeds up you know its most likely a driver issue.

You should be able to get around 285MB/s read on the SATA2 port.

ok robbie, swapped to a sata 2 port, driver changed from amd_sata driver to JRAID.

links to AS SSD bench and to ATTO

speeds dropped but noticably in the ATTO test write speeds went to around 80mpbs but the read speed went up to 140mbps, im still no further to a resoultion or even understanding the issue

What firmware version is your SSD running? you should be on 2.11?

I'd test it without your 20GB windows partition. you shouldn't need to do it because Win7 creates its own partition on startup.
Secure Erase it and start again. Boring and time consuming so you can keep it as a last resort.

This will seem weird, but have you run the windows experience index? I find PC's seem smoother after.

yeah stulid i run WEI after every tweek, I dunno how but after taking cables out and drilling a few holes in the drive caddy so my SSD will sit right to the back so i can use the right angle cable in that end instead of in the mobo port im now getting ATTO benches of 450mbps write and 550mbps read.

May have been agle of the cable coming out of the board or something but seems to be benching correct now, or maybe the magic tech fairies sprinkled some nerd dust on it while i was using the drill outside :D

Anyways its looking good now so time to weld my thumb screws in place so i dont get tempted to mess with it, thanks ROBBIE and STULID as ever (way to earn that MAN OF HONOUR 2011 :p)
