Quite into my little indy bands, but since moving home from Birmingham I've kinda dropped out of "the scene" and have gone from 3 gigs a week to none (:()

Anyway if anyone knows of any little up and coming indy bands I'd be glad to here from you!

Kind of stuff I'm into just to give an Idea;
Larrikon Love, Good Shoes, The Spinto Band, We Are Scientists, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Babyshambles... (You should get the kind of sound I mean from that!)

Cheers

Tom

Since a number of the bands you mention are very well known I don't really know what you are asking for, but anyway these are in a similar vein...

The Be Good Tanyas
Bell X1
Guster
The Crimea
Iron & Wine
Wire Daisies
Midlake
The Mountain Goats
Rilo Kiley

The Rifles
Klaxons
Cajun Dance Party
Bombay Bicycle Club
Milburn
Jamie T
Stoney
Reverend and the makers
Little Man Tate
The Sunshine Underground
New Homes
The Dregs
The Jakpot
The Holloways
Alexis Blue
Hot Club De Paris
The Wombats

A few to look into. myspace them, i'm sure they all have them.

They aren't a bad band.. but they definately aren't the next big thing.

Out of the bands I listed, i'd say Cajun Dance Party/Bombay Bicycle Club have the most potential for 2007.

even when youve got klaxons and jamie t in that list

theyre pretty big already

seen little man tate a few times though and as you say theyre good but nothing special

im loving black ghosts at the moment , the singer from simian and dj touche ( forgot his real name)

the teenagers too

oh and goose will (should) be huge this year ,theyre absolutley awesome , album is unreal

mumm-ra
the loungs
midlake
battle
flotation toy warning

might not be your cup of tea, and theyre not exactly small by any means, but the postal service are a class band/project.

Are you sure this isn't just a list of great bands that you like, rather than little indie bands? :D Both utterly superb but not quite what was specced I think...
Well all in my list could easily be classed as indie (since we are clearly dealing with the popular interpretation of the term) imo, and as I said little couldn't really be used to describe the list the OP gives - so I was basically just trying to list bands with similarities to the OP's list

Plus I think We Are Scientists and The Crimea are very similar, and The Mountain Goats are similar to Larrikin Love and The Spinto Band, only more downbeat imo

Anyway if the OP doesn't agree it doesn't really matter

Have a listen to the FortyFives. They be good.

I also randomly bought an album by Help She Can't Swim (i think someone mentioned them on here). They're aight.

Little Man Tate, mark my word will be very big :D I was right about arctic monkeys, just a matter of time until tate explodes.

Little Man Tate

They are going to be the biggest indie band to make a breakthrough in 2006 I think.

Little Man Tate. But they will not be unheard of for long, they will be big :)

Sorry :p I just had a feeling I remembered you banging on about LMT before :p

I did in fact used to be mad on little man tate, and thought they could become one of the biggest bands but.. then I saw them live.

Utterly destroyed my opinion of them.

Camp, Gay, Pink, Fairies, Childish, Immature. I'd go on but you get the jist. All of these words could describe their live sets.

oo oo thought of another. I dont know if theyre small or not, but...electric soft parade. This band are soooo good i dont know how i forgot them in the first place. Album holes in the wall is a must buy!
