Mmm, The American Adventure was okay too, but then they disappeared? Later to be seen forming Brakes, I think they're touring again now...

Lol, I was thinking that. A lot of these 'up and coming' bands have either already come up years ago or have come up and gone back down again!

And as for the preposterous suggestion that the Black Keys are better than The White Stripes, I wholeheartedly scoff at that!! :p Imo of course. I think The Black Keys probably deserved to make it a bit bigger than they did, when Rubber Factory came out all that time ago, but I think the White Stripes are incomparable.

ye i wasnt too fond of the breaks apart from ring a ding ding which was ok.

Not so small but - death from above 1979. Fantastic fusion of rock/drum&bass. Remind me of CSS or new young pony club but a lot lot better IMO

Since a number of the bands you mention are very well known I don't really know what you are asking for,

I thought if I put loads of names down no-one recognized - no one would no the kind of sound I mean! Cheers for the suggestions though

Dartz!

(the exclamation point is in the band name I'm not shouting)

The drummer is a mate of mine...

I don't like indie or anything but this seems to be what they appeal to...

suprised how big theyve made it because i didnt really like them much last time i seen then :o

mates whore at college bum them so ill probably go see em again on the 11th and see what the fuss is about

I know I already mentioned them, but having listened to them for much longer, I have to reiterate how good I think Voxtrot are, in case anyone hasn't heard of them before. What do they sound like? Anything from 60s tinged pop-rock to The Smiths, Snow Patrol, Belle & Sebastian, We Are Scientists, Nada Surf, throw in the slightest hint of ska-pop, just great choruses like choruses should be and this is what you get.

My new favourite band. Or favourite new band, I should say.

One of their best songs imo:
(legit download from their website)

Voxtrot - Mothers Sisters Daughters & Wives

Hope someone likes them too :)

dartz! are quite good, saw them support hot club de paris... along with another band called... ermm

Slow Club ? i think - their great, just 1 bloke with a guitar and a chick with a tiny tiny drum kit.. glass bottles filled with water... a chair... spoons... all good stuff :) sounds really good!

but check out The Wombats for deff! their brilliant! and the lead singer sweats like lee evans! puddle on stage afterwards!

everyboyd should listen to that song, its brilliant!

not heard of them before... very impressed

*goes to look for more songs*

There's a couple more mp3s from past EPs on their site www.voxtrot.net, they shouldn't be too hard to find :) and there's the obligatory myspace of course www.myspace.com/voxtrot

I was about to list a few songs I'd recommend to listen to, but there's not many out (only released EPs so far), and tbh I think they're all good.
