Really it said 14th on gamestops (US game retailer) website? Damn it! Guess she wont be getting it tomorrow then!

**edit yep just checked again and on thier coming soon page it is listed as 14th but if you goto the game page its been changed to the 21st**

Makes sense, saves me holding my camera phone or laptop next to my HDTV!! Plus at least all videos will have some sort of standard of video quality TBH every single game on PS3 should support this. I believe the actual code for uploading to youtube is already in the PS3 dev kit. I know Pixeljunk Eden and 1 or 2 other games support this already. Eden allows 10 minute clips, I hope this is longer tbh.

Strange none of the review sites mentioned this feature.

I think Editors can publish longer videos and with Sony being sony they probably allowed up to 30mins or an hour video. The average user can only upload a 10min video tho.
 
How many people are/arent getting this based on the beta?

Im just finding it difficult to justify buying it as it was nice, but no way amazing and looking at all the hype (and the prospective awards) its got Im wondering if Ive missed something...

Im not trying to be rude, but I just dont get it - Im really worried Im missing out on something massive and might end up buying it as a default in the hope I unlock whatever everyone else has...

Am I the only one who has this view?

No law saying buy it based on the Beta (There is supposed to be a lot more content in terms of single player levels and content to build better levels in the full game)!! To be honest if you like platform games then this is the next gen game to buy. I have not seen a game like this so far this gen, and platformers are a bit thin on the ground on PS3 and 360.

I don't think it will sell as much as some other big titles, but then you have to consider the big titles are just yearly sports refreshes or FPS games (usually sequels). General public love those 2 types of games and will buy those instead.

For traditional platform fans buying this is a no brainer. For people who like map editors/level editors too imo. Also those people always saying I want to work in games or design games or do graphics for games etc, this will be the closet they get to making something that a lot of people will get to view/play :)

Buy it in a few weeks when the price drops? If it isn't that good there will be a load of Members Market or 2nd hand copies being sold cheaply :) (Always happens with Marmite games!)

Cheers rp2000 thats good advice. I like the idea of the game but I just dont have the time or the patience I think to give the game the best chance. Hmmm sounds like Im one of those instant gratification mob...

Im usually an instant gratifications kind of person too tbh (which most platform games are OK for). I can;t really explain why the level design has grabbed me as I'm not a creative type, don't work in a creative industry, have no interest in designing games etc. I am very good with interfaces once I learn them though, and am very quick on a PS3 pad, so to me the tools for level building were perfect, whereas some reviewers have already said they found them a bit cumbersome etc.

I think for 50ish pre made levels it is worth about 30ish quid, you add in the unlimited levels that people will make for free (I am not keen on paying for extra levels tbh) it will be a bargain.

I played a lot of levels people made in the Beta, so as long as those people keep making levels (the decent creative ppl, not the idiots like me who just put Heroes stickers all over levels!!) the game will be very good value in terms of hours played etc.

I think well see a lot more tbh. This is whats going to great about this game seeing all the created stuff and the cheeky skills of some people.

rp2000, what is your obsession with heroes? its an ok show but its not that great lol , no offence or anything. just curious

Dunno, some people like xbox 360 too much , some people PS3, some people LOST, some people Prison Break, some people Ella Enchanted, Me, Heroes.

The release of Sony's highly anticipated PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet has been delayed in Europe.

The game was due for release next week, October 24, but now some retailers are estimating the game may be delayed by three weeks until November 14.

However, GamesIndustry.biz understands that the title may not suffer such a long delay to retail, and a new date is expected to be announced by Sony shortly.
