The wait for LittleBigPlanet is nearly over, and to celebrate, we've teamed up with PlayStation to bring you a host of prizes.

Top of the heap is the chance to work with PlayStation to get a level you have designed--with a little help from PlayStation--to players all over the world. You'll also get a PS3, a copy of LittleBigPlanet, a limited-edition T-shirt and your very own woollen Sackboy. Those just missing out on the top prize but still in the top five will get a copy of the game, as well as a woollen Sackboy and a T-shirt.

To enter, you need to upload the basis for a level design to your profile using the standard image uploader, and let us know using the Entry Form! You can also go to the Competition Forum, where you can discuss other people's entries, talk about the game, as well as promote your own entry.

Want to know how to create your design? This guide has all the info you'll need, and this video tutorial should help you on your way to victory too! Then you can either make something from scratch, or you can download this template and use that as the basis for your entry. If you need help uploading your image, you can check out this handy guide too.

You'll have three weeks to come up with your entry. Once the three weeks are up no more entries will be accepted, and we will post a shortlist of 20 entries that you can all then vote on. The level with the most votes then wins!

The winner will need to come to London for one day in the two weeks before release to work with a member of the LBP community team to create their level, and so must be over 16 and be able to spend a weekday in London between 16 and 23 October.

That's not all--to give you all that little more incentive, the first 100 people to provide proof of entry and their email address will get a woollen Sackboy, a T-shirt and acess the the LittleBigPlanet beta programme!

I wish i could enter this but you need to be a bloody level 3 and thats going to take 3 days. Any one lend me their gamespot account and let me win a sackboy :)

Sounds bit like this from Eurogamer
Eurogamer is teaming up with PlayStation for a very special competition with some very special prizes.

We're giving you the chance to design your very own LittleBigPlanet level. The best entry we receive will be turned into a real level for LBP players to download. You'll even get to watch your design being brought to life and then play it at the Eurogamer Expo. There's also an 80GB PlayStation 3 to be won and five copies of the game. Plus, we've got stacks of Sackboy toys to give away, and exclusive LittleBigPlanet t-shirts designed by Trevor Jackson and Kate Moross (we're not very trendy, but our extensive research on wikipedia reveals they're quite a big deal).

Download Level Designer's Kit
Here's a step by step guide to how you can take part.
1. Download your Designer's Kit

Download this Level Creation Kit to help with your design. It includes a level design template and some handy guidelines. You can use as many templates as you like, or you can completely ignore it and start from scratch! Just remember to put your name and email address on the designs or we might get a bit muddled up.

Need an account? Register to take part!
2. Submit your design

Using the form on the left, log in, then upload your design to us. Please keep your entries to less than 2MB. If you upload more than one file, we'll ignore all but the latest.

Deadline for entries is 5pm on Tuesday 7th October. Entries received after this time will not be considered. Just making that clear so we don't end up having to give Ofcom the contents of the petty cash tin.
Rules

* Prizes will not be exchanged for cash or other goods - if you don't want the prize, don't enter
* No employees of Eurogamer or Sony may enter this competition
* All entries must reach us by 5pm, Tuesday 7th October
* A shortlist will be announced on Thursday 9th October, after which there will be six days of voting
* Winners will be revealed the following Thursday 16th October, after which there will be celebrations and parties
* This competition is open only to Eurogamer registered users who are also UK residents
* The judge's decision is final.
* Full terms and conditions

3. Vote for your favourite

Once all the entries are in, we'll pick a maximum shortlist of 20.

Between Thursday 9th October and Wednesday 15th October, Eurogamer readers will get the chance to vote for their favourite level design. Hooray for democracy!
4. See who's won

The winners will be announced on Thursday 16th October.

The entry with the most votes will receive an 80GB PS3, a copy of LittleBigPlanet and will be able to visit the studio in London, where they will work with a 'super-user' on the creation of their level. The studio visit will be between 20th and 23rd of October 2008, so keep your diary clear for one of those days!

Four runners-up will receive a copy of LittleBigPlanet to say well done.

All entries will go into a prize draw for Sackboys and T-shirts, so even if your level was rubbish you might get a nice treat!

Once it's created the winning level will be available for all LBP players to download on the game's day of release (24th Oct).

It will also be playable at the Eurogamer Expo, taking place from October 28th - 29th in London. Tickets are available today on the website.

Why not give it a go? Perhaps because you have no imagination or creative faculties. In which case, why not exercise your democratic right to judge the work of those who have? Oh go on.

He is in Manchester (according to location) and this week you can play it in some temporary shop they (Sony/MediaMolecule) have set up, to allow people to play the game early.

yep, its on piccadily gardens. Well worth popping into if your in the area. Staff are friendly and its pretty impressive for a game to have all that hype.

Is the only way to load content apart from built in stickers and DLC (I am guessing) to use your Eye Camera? (Might finally get a use for mine).

I believe so. I know they were throwing around the idea of being able to import pictures of the HDD but i think they might have thrown that out. End of the day you can just take a picture of what ever you want in your level, probably not the greatest quality but you get a rough idea

Me too it's down.

It's not down, just a a bit overloaded I imagine, I know same thing happened when they gave away SOCOM keys a few weeks back. Suspect it always happens when they give stuff away and get a large amount of ppl hammering their site, hitting F5 :)

60% done so far! :D I'm like a kid at christmas, missus is watching tele but i keep pausing it to see if it's finished :p

I got the code through my eurogamer inbox it says check instructions, but the instruction page does not seem to load!!

Enter the code into Transaction Management and then download client like for SOCOM, I presume?
