Live Far From the Exchange - Will an Arial Help?

Where have you got your modem plugged in? The master socket (bigger, probably in two parts that separate, should have a BT logo on it), or an extension (smaller, one part, probably won't have a BT logo)

One without BT logon on it, it says ADSL v1.0 the phone cable is plugged into it and also the wire going to the router.

That's already a BT ADSL faceplate which should be plugged onto the master socket so any potential extensions should be filtered off already. In short there's absolutely nothing you can do to get any faster.

What about this antenaee though, isnt there something i can do with that?

He talking about the aerial for the wireless i think, which you can't use as thats just for connecting to your AOL connection wirelessly, i.e if you had a laptop with wifi, and you wanted to sit out in the garden, you could use that to connect instead of your PC, or someone else could use your connection at the same time as you by using the PC. :)
