I would say its not even worth arguing anymore, i don't think it's genuine football supporters who cause these problems at all.
In that away support at anfield, i'm pretty sure that isn't a representation of every united fan, but that to me was like 6,000 thugs, highlighted by about 3 people wearing replica shirts.
Whether anyone agrees or disagrees, i believe it was the united supporters instigating, highlighted by the 'where's ** famous munich song' chant, surely provoking a reaction, which they got with a few plane gestures. I've heard we take a few idiots to old trafford too, so its tit for tat.
A few 'thugs' attacking the ambulance does not represent liverpool football club as a whole, as the majority, behaved and didn't react to the idiotic chants from the anny road end.
The Riise chant after smith's injury was sung when most did not understand the full extent of the injury, i for one sung it, but i was the first to applaud him off, (A bloke behind me shouted don't clap him off) when i realised the full extent of the injury, the lad is brave, i have respect for smith from that angle. Do you think united supporters would have clapped one of ours off? NO CHANCE, not a single supporter.
The ripping out of seats, ******* everywhere, setting the toilets on fire and trying to charge the gates down by the mancs - reported by stewards, goes unnoticed though, and once again, scousers are given a bad name. (The S*n and 89' anyone - don't get me started on that)
Had the result gone the other way, i don't think we'd have heard anything. bar the gloating of the mancs. In the aftermath we've had 'boot liverpool out of europe, 'heysel campaigns' and all sorts. There is going to be a death in this fixture before long.
Whatever the intentions of the thread - it's weeks ago now, and obviously people still have strong feelings, but for one, i am not letting bitters slate the people of liverpool, or the football club, over actions which were in the minority, especially when there was equal/more given back.
